A smile should be something that you feel genuinely proud of. But when you struggle with your smile it can really damper your confidence and the reactions you have to the experiences in your life.
As a child I was bullied A TON because of the gap in between my teeth. My parents looked at me with the eyes of their heart and always encouraged me to smile even when others made me feel that I shouldn’t.
As a teenager I rarely smiled for pictures and whenever I laughed I made sure to cover my mouth. Braces seemed to be my only option, so when health insurance declined my request for braces I lost hope in fixing my smile.
One day a dentist said he could fix my gap by adding composite to fix my two front teeth and allow for the gap not to be as big. I opted in and that immediately changed my confidence.
As I got older I realized that my smile was not natural. You see, when your teeth is something that has always bothered you it also becomes the one thing you look at in other people when you speak to them. So I knew my teeth didn’t make me happy.
I consulted a few doctors for braces and Invisalign and didn’t feel confident in their work or their promises of my final outcome.
I then came across Dr. Yanni‘s office and from the moment I walked in I knew that this would be the place that would change my smile and my life forever. Dr. Yanni Made it her mission to treat me as an individual. She really listened to my goals and she made sure every step of the way that my smile was turning out exactly the way I wanted it.
Today marks a very important day for me as my smile has changed forever. In these pictures you will see the journey my teeth have made, it hasn’t been easy but totally worth it. From having awkwardly placed brackets, a hormonal pregnancy, a gum tumor growth, a surgery, and a tooth removal, I can finally say that I’ve never smiled harder.
Dr. Yanni and her staff have totally changed my life and I am everlastingly grateful for their hard work and dedication to me. For always making me feel like their most important patient. For accommodating me while pregnant, and then even helping with my newborn baby during my patient visits.
For many, having braces is something experienced during teenage years, and most of my struggles aren’t something they can relate to. But for me, I’ve been struggling with my smile as far back as I can remember and now finally being able to smile with no shame is a pretty big deal.
So I encourage you to look at my pictures so you too can see how my teeth have transformed through these past two years.
And saying that I recommend Dr. Yanni and her staff is an understatement. I 1000% recommend her practice because they really did change my life and now I truly feel that my smile brightens up a room.
